Keep calling about Kavanaugh

Our representatives tell us that every phone call matters. When the issues are crucial, we can’t stop with just one call. And with extremist Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh being vetted right now, we have to do everything in our power to stop him. That means: keep calling.

Kavanaugh, who suggested that the Supreme Court might have gotten it wrong when it compelled President Richard Nixon to turn over the Watergate tapes, is shaping up to be the worst possible judge for this country, someone who would let the Trump Administration off the hook for its crimes while punishing women, LGBTQ people, and people of color.

Senator Feinstein is doing a great job holding Kavanaugh’s feet to the fire, but she has not said she will vote against him. We need her to make that promise.

ONE THING YOU CAN DO RIGHT NOW

Call Senator Feinstein, thank her for her work on slowing down the SCOTUS vote, and tell her she must commit to voting against Kavanaugh. Use Resistbot if you prefer.

STAND UP SF TAKES BACK CONGRESS

Next weekend marks 100 days out from the 2018 midterm elections. Our power can flip the House (and maybe the Senate) by electing progressive leaders who represent our values, but only if every one of us does our part.

For the next 100 days, we need to go hard. If you’ve been phone- and text-banking and canvassing already, keep up the good work. If you haven’t begun, it’s time to start! Sign up for Stand Up SF’s very first phone bank on August 5th! Join our members + Democracy action for a fun afternoon to flip a Senate seat.

Too social for you? Sign up to phone bank from home with Indivisible’s calling tools. They’ll give you all the training you need.
